Kana Yahagi is a researcher at Gastrointestinal Symbiosis Research Laboratory, Basic Research Department, Yakult Central Institute, Tokyo, JAPAN. She graduated from a Master’s course at the Graduate School of Biostudies at Kyoto University. She joined the Yakult Central Institute in 2008. Her current research focuses on infant gut microbiota and health, specifically on the substrate utilization of Bifidobacteria and their metabolites.
